Why I CrossFit

I CrossFit because I don’t want to be ordinary

Ordinary people don’t test their limits.

Ordinary people get stuck in the rut of an 8-5 job, pick up fast food for dinner, and don’t go to the gym.

Ordinary people go to the “Body Sculpt” class, or ride the elliptical for 30 minutes while reading a magazine.

Ordinary people get frustrated when they don’t see results at the gym, and they quit.

Ordinary people don’t release their competitive side.

Ordinary people don’t have teammates cheering for them.

Ordinary people are fat and lazy.

Ordinary people make excuses.

Ordinary people blame others for their problems.

Ordinary people are downers, negative, not fun to be around.

I CrossFit because I want to surround myself with extraordinary people, or the “weird” or “crazy” people.

CrossFitters sweat more, and work harder than anyone else I know.

CrossFitters don’t use time as an excuse. They MAKE TIME to go to the gym and to eat healthy.

CrossFitters test their limits with every workout, even when they don’t feel like it.

CrossFitters cheer you on, give you high fives, and push you through it – it doesn’t matter who you are.

CrossFitters plan ahead and bring their lunch to work or on the road. No excuses.

CrossFitters are driven to reach their goals, not just within the walls of the gym.

CrossFitters are a community. They welcome everyone, and make you feel at home.

I CrossFit because I want to be the best I can be, not just within the gym. I CrossFit because you guys are my family. I can’t imagine surrounding myself with a more amazing group of people. Every day you motivate, inspire, and push others around you to be better. I love you guys.
